Three items from the far-gone glory days of the 1986 New York Mets. From the night of the infamous “Buckner Blooper”, this OAL (Brown) baseball used for batting practice before a World Series game has been signed by Strawberry, Hernandez, Gooden, Wilson, Knight and eleven other Mets in blue ink, overall 8/10. Next is the red white and blue, nylon windsock (10’) that flew at Shea throughout the series (EX). And finally, the “Great Western” champagne bottle that was slugged by Gooden and Straw before being emptied on Hernandez during the World Series post-game celebration. All items were obtained from ABC Sports Producer, Peter Heller and come with his LOA.
