This glove was obtained many, many years ago by an early collector who went visiting with Appling at his home. The glove is signed “Luke Appling” in black sharpie on the back. “Professional Model” first baseman’s mitt is by Spalding and was most definitely used by Appling. In very nice shape, it is marvelously broken in with distinctive early vintage major league use that can never be replicated or reproduced. Glove is EX, sig is NRMT.
