The attractive piece features small portraits and facsimile signatures of each team member surrounding the plaque, which is inscribed, "To Joseph Vincent McCarthy In Recognition And Grateful Appreciation Of His Sportsmanship. His Fine Qualities As Manager, His Human Understanding, His Modesty And His Kindness And Loyalty As A Friend. This Tablet Is Affectionately Inscribed By His Boys: Worlds Champions 1936-7-8" One of only two of these that we have ever seen.
