Non-official ball boasts the kind of use attributed to a “playground” game, as well as the sweet spot signature of one of the most important names in all of baseball, Roberto Clemente. In turquoise ink on the sweet spot, “For Alfonso, Roberto Clemente.” This signature no doubt started as a twinkle in a young boys eye, a young admirer of the Puerto Rican legend, who got it personally signed. It looks to have been the youngster’s personal ball, sporting scuffs and scrapes from concrete. It is now a rare and coveted piece of baseball memorabilia. Signature grades about a "5" out of a possible 10. No visible stampings on the ball.
