Back in October of 1993, a jersey identical to this one was stolen from its glass-encased display in the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago. This stolen artifact was considered to be the priceless cornerstone of the interactive sports exhibit in the museum. And rightfully so, as it came straight off the back of the single biggest name in the sport - perhaps in all of sports. Don’t be confused - this is not the stolen jersey! But its importance is comparable. From the 1992-93 season, this Chicago Bulls road jersey was worn by the greatest man to ever step foot onto a basketball court. During that season, Jordan averaged 32.6 points per game, claiming his 7th straight scoring title, thereby tying Wilt Chamberlain for most consecutive crowns. Front is “Bulls 23” in black on white tackle twill. Black felt tip signature just below. Verso is “Jordan 23”. Historically, this is the first season in which the Bulls used sewn-on lettering as opposed to screened-on. Red, white & blue NBA dribbler patch embroidered onto front left shoulder. Tagging on front left tail is “Champion [size] 46” with an Exclusive Chicago Bulls tag to its left (“Body length +3” printed on). Light use. You won’t have to steal this one to own one of the most valuable artifacts in the history of basketball.
