5 signed baseballs, 3 World Series programs, a Babe Ruth Photo, plus a 1969 Mets portfolio created for the Daily News adds up to one great assortment of vintage memorabilia pertaining to 4 teams that have waxed eternal in the hearts of baseball fans everywhere - the 1954-55 Brooklyn Dodgers, 1937 & 1960 NY Yankees, 1969 NY Mets, & 1955 St. Louis Cardinals. Of special note are the 1954 & 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers team signed baseballs with a total of 36 signatures including Robinson (2), Campanella, Reese, Hodges (2), Snider (2), Happy Felton (2), Alston (2), & Erskine (2). Both are ONL (Giles) balls. These are very dark with minimal fading / bleeding. Just as great is the 1955 St. Louis Cardinals team signed ball with 21 of the finest vintage signatures around. Includes Musial, Haddix, Schoendienst, Virdon & more. Signatures are very dark and bold, belying their age. No visible stampings. Light tan patina covers the ball, EX. Also includes a 1955 Dodgers / Yankees World Series program, 1937 & 1960 Yankees World Series programs, and a vintage 8x5” photo of Babe Ruth picking his nose (VG-EX). The 1969 Mets portfolio for the Daily News contains 20 facsimile portraits including Hodges, Seaver, & Ryan. EX-MT to NRMT. Programs are VG to EX.
