From the unique and very condition sensitive gold leaf borders, the facsimile autographs and the ornate backgrounds on the fronts, and the full player name and stats on the back, this issue was way ahead of its time. Also included in this lot are 7 of the 12 extremely difficult minor leaguers. More than half of the cards in this lot feature the more difficult Hassan and Honest Cut backs. This lot is loaded with goodies from the Hall of Famers to the tough higher-grade cards that have been professionally graded by SGC. Some of the graded cards include: Thomas Jones SGC 84 NRMT, Frank “Home Run” Baker SGC 84 NRMT, Miller Huggins SGC 80 EX-MT, Ed Walsh SGC 80 EX-MT, Geroge Wiltse SGC 80 EX-MT, James Frick (Minor Leaguer) SGC 70 EX+, Peaches Graham SGC 70 EX+, George Wiltse (One Ear) SGC 60 EX, Hugh Duffy SGC 60 EX, Russell Ford (White Cap) SGC 60 EX, and Christy Mathewson SGC 60 EX. Several other Hall of Famers are included in this lot such as: Hugh Jennings, Eddie Collins, Joe Tinker, John Evers, and Rube Marquard. The lot averages VG-EX with some of the nicer examples graded by SGC. A real strong start on a T205 set.
