Excerpt from a handwritten letter, written in the hand of our Founding Father and first President. The distinctive writing, in fountain pen is miraculously affected only slightly from its age, presented to you clearly and legibly, almost as it was just after the time it was penned in the late 17th century. The black ink has turned a classic brown color adding to this piece's richness. Excerpt reads, "Indenture bearing equal date with these present. Granted and demised unto the said James Welch… his Heirs Executors administrators and assigns" A fascinating piece of American history! Recognizable portrait (featured on the $1 bill) matted in same frame gives the piece a sheer presence. Gold plate below engraved, "George Washington 1st President of the United States b. Feb. 22, 1732 - d. Dec. 14, 1799. Authentic Excerpt from Handwritten Letter." Nicely framed to 15x22".
