1920 marked not only the Babe’s first season as a Yankee but also his maiden screen venture in ‘Headin Home’. This 2”x3.25” promotional card is significant in that it would be one of the first to picture the Babe in pinstripes at the Ol’ Polo Grounds. The full-body pose features him swinging the stick that fetched him 54 homeruns that season with a small imperfection marking his right eye and cheek. A single crease runs from the mid-point of the left border to the center of the lower border. The verso displays evidence of scrapbook mounting and is stamped in black, “Compliments of Majestic Theatre, One Week Com. Mon. Oct. 25th, Babe Ruth in Headin Home”. Conservatively graded Good.
