Will anyone ever eclipse Bobby Orr and his eight Norris awards? The inscription on the bowl of this ornate grail reads, in part, “James Norris Memorial Trophy, to be awarded annually to the regular defense player who demonstrates the greatest all-round ability in that position, 1954”. Identical in every way to the personal trophy awarded each year to the top defenseman. This example is certainly vintage and has aged in appearance with a wonderful patina. Presented in the late 1960’s by the National Hockey League to former Boston Bruins Vice President Charles Mulcahy. Letter of Authenticity signed by Charles Mulcahy.
