Lot of two 1947 Ryder Cup badges. Each badge measures 1.5" in diameter and features a gold-colored Ryder Cup trophy on the front. "RYDER CUP" and "1947" is on the front of the badge in blue. "MAYNARD FESSENDEN" is engraved on the outer edge of one of the badges, and "MRS. MAYNARD FESSENDEN" is engraved on the other. A pin is present on the back of the badges, and "FROM ROBERT A. HUDSON, PORTLAND, OREGON" is visible below the pin. These badges belonged to Maynard Fessenden and his wife. Maynard was the president of the Chicago District Golf Association, and is widely known around the golf world.
