Collection of forty-three Hall of Famer baseball signatures, including duplicates. With just a few exceptions (noted in our listing), all the signatures appear on either index cards or government postcards. This collection was obtained by our consignor as a child, primarily during the 1960s. Normally, he would stake out the New York hotels to obtain the signatures of current players, but he also wrote to many former players, requesting their autographs. As such, eleven are personalized. A few also feature a short note from the respective player. The signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, average 8/10 and the cards/government postcards are in Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Please note: due to the large number of signatures in the this collection, one must allow for some secretarial or clubhouse versions.

The signatures represented in this collection, with the number of signatures for each player (if more than one) noted in parentheses, are as follows: Appling, (on the back of a gold Hall of Fame postcard), Banks, Berra, Carey (2; one on the front of a gold Hall of Fame postcard), Coveleski, Crawford (on both the front and reverse of a gold Hall of Fame postcard), Dickey, Doerr, Drysdale, Durocher (2), Feller (2), Flick (4; one on the back of a gold Hall of Fame postcard), Gehringer (2; one on the front of a gold Hall of Fame postcard), Gomez (2), Grove, Hartnett (2; one on the back of a gold Hall of Fame postcard), Kaline (on the back of "The Roosevelt" hotel postcard), Kiner (2), Koufax, Lemon, Lombardi, Mize (2), Roush (2), Ruffing, Slaughter, Sutton, Traynor (4), and B. Williams.
