1979 NCAA Basketball Finals (Larry Bird vs. Magic Johnson) PSA graded ticket stubs with attendee's photographs from the game. The pair of 4.75x2" tickets are graded (FR 1.5 and PR 1) and encapsulated by PSA. Accompanying the tickets is a 9x11.5" album page. There are 10 original photos in the album page that are in near-mint condition. Six of the photos have captions attached to them. The captions were typed on a white sheet of paper, and then cut out and pasted to the photos. Larry Bird is pictured in four of the photos. He's shown being interviewed by Craig Sager, smiling with fans, signing autographs, and holding a couple of beers. The photos come from fans who knew Bird personally, and they help to document their trip to the tournament. In the title game, Magic Johnson and the Michigan State Spartans defeated Bird and the Indiana State Sycamores, 75-64. In the game, Magic and Bird competed against each other for the first time. This game marked the start of a rivalry that would develop for years to come.
