Presented is a circa 1950s Barney Stein original Type I Authentic photograph of Hall of Famer Gil Hodges. With the blackboard in the background, the photo could have been taken at the Dodgers' spring training home in Vero Beach, Florida. Or, it could have been taken after the August 31, 1950, game at Ebbets Field when Hodges blasted an amazing four home runs, only the sixth man in baseball history at that time who had accomplished the feat. It's unknown what the photo of Hodges swinging four bats suggests. The bats do form a diamond, but the context of the photo is not clear. In the 1950s, in all of baseball, only teammate Duke Snider (326) blasted more home runs than Gil Hodges (310). Hodges hit .273 for his Major League career, was an 8-time All-Star, and a 2-time World Champion. In the 1960s, he managed the Washington Senators and the New York Mets, guiding the Miracle Mets to the 1969 World Championship.

The photo measures approx. 8.1x10". It has been encapsulated and PSA Certified as "Type I Authentic." It is in EXCELLENT condition. On back is a stamp of famous photographer Barney Stein.
