Matt Groening is an American cartoonist, animator, writer and producer best known for his creation of The Simpsons television show (1989-present). Presented is an unusual and really fun collectible - a Matt Groening signed, personalized, and hand-original - a twenty-dollar bill, with its usual image of President Andrew Jackson transformed into a twenty-dollar bill with a cartoon drawing of Bart Simpson. The Simpsons is the all-time longest-running, American, primetime television series in the history of the medium. The Simpsons is also America's longest-running animated series, and the country's longest-running sitcom. Groening has won 14 primetime Emmy Awards: Twelve for The Simpsons and two for another one of his television series, Futurama.
The offered real United States currency measures approx. 2.6x6.2". Using a black marker, Groening has inscribed, "To Mary." Cleverly crafting his Bart Simpson image with the black marker, Groening makes this real twenty-dollar Andrew Jackson bill into a Bart Simpson bill. Groening also signed the currency with a black marker, with a bold signature on the front of the bill. This creative offering comes with a Beckett LOA (Cert. Number AE21144). The front of the twenty-dollar bill is in EXCELLENT condition. The back of the bill has some staining or coloration around and above the center portion of the White House image. With civil rights activist Harriet Tubman's image slated to replace Andrew Jackson's image on the twenty-dollar bill in 2030, an original Andrew Jackson/Bart Simpson twenty-dollar bill can only increase in interest, and value.
