Circa 1993-97 Wade Boggs New York Yankees signed and inscribed game used bat. Flame burned Louisville Slugger Model B349 ash bat measures 34.25" and weighs 31.9 ounces. Bat is uncracked and outstanding use is displayed including extensive pine tar extending across the center trademark stamp, evidence of tape removal on the handle, and ball marks and assorted wear across the barrel. Number 12 is written on the knob in thick black marker, and it is autographed between trademark and barrel in 8-9/10 black Sharpie above a "Game Used" inscription. Boggs originally solidified his credentials as one of the best pure hitters in the history of the sport during his 11 seasons with the Boston Red Sox, including an incredible five AL batting titles in a 6-year span from 1983-88 (finishing a paltry 3rd with a .325 mark in 1984). In his first five years with the Yanks (covering the labeling period for this specimen) and entering his late 30s, Boggs batted a combined .313 overall, more than sealing his induction into the Hall of Fame.
