Rare 1976 Bicentennial Gary Carter Montreal Expos signed and inscribed game used bat. Flame burned ash Hillerich & Bradsby Model K55 measures 35.0" and weighs 32.6 ounces. Light use is displayed with a handle crack, some red paint transfers, and slight wear below the highly-coveted Bicentennial stamp, which is nestled between the trademark and barrel stamp. Number 8 is written on both the knob and barrel end in black marker, and it is autographed in 10/10 black Sharpie below the barrel stamp, with "#8" inscription and "Game used in 1976" scripted immediately below. Though Carter played for four teams in his 19-year MLB career, he has the distinction of being the first player ever inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Montreal Expo and his five Silver Slugger and three Gold Glove awards solidified him as one of the premier catchers of his era. Bicentennial bats are prized collectibles, and this rarity makes an exceptional specimen. Comes with full PSA from LOA, with the bat earning a grade of PSA/DNA GU 8. Full LOA from PSA for the signature.
