Bat is uncracked and use is displayed with evidence of pine tar (or other sticky residue) on the handle, a few small indentations, and prominent ball marks on the barrel. White cloth tape has been used to create a bubble knob, with a line of silver writing poking through the middle; numbers 3 and 11 are on the barrel end in silver Sharpie. Autographed between the barrel and trademark in 7-8/10 silver Sharpie along with uniform number 3 and lengthy inscription - "Career Home Run #474 vs Cleveland Indians 7/3/07 - Pitcher Paul Byrd." A 5-time Silver Slugger winner, Sheffield was considered one of the premier power hitters in his era, amassing 509 career homers for eight different teams over his 22-year tenure, and he is one of just 28 players all-time to eclipse the 500-home run plateau. Comes with full PSA LOA, with the bat earning a grade of PSA/DNA GU 10; also included is a separate PSA LOA verifying that the signature and inscription are authentic, and the lot includes both a Sheff and MLB hologram on the front barrel.
