Louisville Slugger model R161 Sammy Sosa professional model bat shows remarkable use with ball marks, ball stitch impressions, cleat marks, Sosa's signature tape job, dark blue ball marks, a light coat of pine tar, and a repaired crack. A hand written "21 - R161" is noticed on the knob and top of barrel in black marker. Although sourcing from the 1999 labeling period, it is believed that this bat was used during the 2000 season. In 1999, National League baseballs were stamped with black ink while the American League preferred light blue. Starting in 2000 both leagues used dark blue ink indicating 2000 season use. Bat comes with PSA GU 8 LOA.
