Almost flawless poster announcing Muhammad Ali versus the underdog, Brian London. London, with 15-1 odds against him, proclaimed that he did not expect to beat Ali, but that he could “go the distance”. Ali responded with a third round knockout, to which London remarked, “the only way I’d ever fight that man again is if he had 50-pound weights tied to his feet”. Poster headlined by, “Earls Court – Sat. 6 August”. Features nice photos of each fighter. “Muhammad Ali (formerly Cassius Clay) World Heavyweight Champion versus ‘British Bulldog’ Brian London” printed in large red block letters. Poster is mounted on linen. Creases have been masterfully restored. EX. Framed to 15x20”.
