Scarce press pin issued by the Brooklyn Robins/Dodgers for the 1920 World Series against the Cleveland Indians. The design of the circular scalloped-edge pin features a convex "baseball" in the center that is lettered "Brooklyn." The lettering along the red-enameled perimeter reads "1920 World Series." Complete with its original clasp on the reverse that bears the name of the manufacturer: "Dieges & Clust." Threaded-post back. Diameter: .75 inches. Near Mint condition. Cleveland defeated Brooklyn five games to two in the best-of-nine series, which was highlighted by the first and only unassisted triple play in World Series history, and the first World Series grand slam. An outstanding high-grade example of this early World Series press pin commemorating Brooklyn's second appearance in the fall classic.
