The Yankee Clipper, Joe DiMaggio, was a national idol and there are a number of baseball observers who saw many of Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio's games, and who swear they never saw him make a mental mistake. Presented is a Joe DiMaggio signed and inscribed full-sized Louisville Slugger bat. DiMaggio played his entire Major League career with the New York Yankees. The 3-time AL MVP and 2-time AL batting crown winner batted a lifetime .325, with 361 home runs. Amazingly, in light of today's strikeout rates, DiMaggio hit his 361 home runs while striking out only 369 times, almost a 1-to-1 ratio! His MLB consecutive game hitting streak record of 56 may never be broken. 

The offered bat is a Louisville Slugger (Model 125) with a length of 35" and a weight of 40.8 ounces. Using a blue fiber tip marker, DiMaggio signed the barrel and added "'Yankee Clipper.'" Etched on the barrel is "GENUINE/Joe Di Maggio/LOUISVILLE SLUGGER." In black, fine tip marker, an unknown hand wrote, "344/361" on the barrel, signifying that the bat is a limited edition offering. The bat comes with a JSA LOA for the signature and inscription. The offering also comes with a LOA from Morris Engleberg, Esquire, from the law firm of Engelberg, Cantor, Leone, and Milgrim, P.L. for the Joe DiMaggio signature and inscription. On the knob of the unused bat is a Joe DiMaggio Yankee Clipper Enterprises sticker, and a JSA sticker (Cert. Number xx21450). The bat is in EXCELLENT condition.
