Presented is an unusual collection: Fourteen (14) Pittsburgh Steelers uniform patches, with scarcities. These patches are not retail patches; rather, they are professional patches meant to go on players' jerseys. 1) The rarest one here is the 1976 Bicentennial patch, which appears to have been used on a jersey. The patch has a diameter of 4.25". The patch reads, "AMERICAN REVOLUTION BICENTENNIAL 1776-1976." The background is white with a red and blue patriotic symbol, and black lettering and numerals. The patch appears to have once been sewn onto a uniform. The other patches are unused, but they came from team sources. 2) Five (5) NFL 75th Anniversary patches. These patches are approx. 3.25" high and 4.75" across. With multi-colored threads, the patch has the numerals "75" and the NFL crest. 3) Two (2) patches read, "60 Steelers Seasons 1933/1992." The patches emphasize the Steelers black and gold colors. 4) Two (2) "AJR" patches worn in the 1988 season for the Steelers' founder and owner, Arthur J. Rooney SR., known as "the Chief," who passed away at age 87 less than two weeks before the start of the '88 season. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The black & white patch measures 3.8x4.1". While this patch was not used, the used patches were sewn on the left shoulder. 5) Two (2) "DMR" patches. The patches have a diameter of 3.5". The patches were made to honor Daniel Milton Rooney, the Steelers Chief Executive and the son of Steelers founder Art Rooney. This type of patch was worn during the 2017 season when Dan Rooney passed away. Two (2) "Steelers 50 Seasons" patches, also quite scarce. One has a white (home) background and the other with a black (away) background. The patches have a 4.5" diameter, and they were worn during the 1982 season. In addition to the patches, the offered lot also includes two professional Steelers helmet stickers, showing "Steelers" and displaying the gold, red, and blue stars of the Steeler logo. The year used is unknown. The patches and stickers are in EXCELLENT condition, and they provide a nice cross section of Pittsburgh Steelers history.
