The jersey also features a patch commemorating the Yankees' first season in their new stadium on the left sleeve. The garment also has two minor spots, one on the side and one on the NY logo. Numbered 1 of 24, the embroidery on the reverse side reads: "DEREK JETER - All-Time Yankee Hit Leader, September 11th, 2009, vs. Orioles' Chris Tillman Surpassing Lou Gehrig." Jeter has signed the jersey on the reverse side 2 in silver marker. Also on the number are hologram stickers from the MLB and Steiner Sports authenticating the signature. Jeter would notch many more hits after this one, finishing his career with 3,465 hits, ranking him 6th all-time in Major League history.
