A 7.5x9.5" photograph signed by former Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion Gene Tunney. The inscription on the piece reads, "To T. Crofton with best wishes." Tunney has also signed the photo, dating it August 1st, 1939. The lot will include a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA verifying the signature. Tunney was one of the best fighters of the 1920s, holding the Light Heavyweight title twice and the Heavyweight title from 1926 through 1928. The legendary fighter, who compiled a career record of 80-1-3, passed away in 1978 at the age of 81.
