Displayed is a Johnny Unitas Baltimore Colts signed Riddell ON FIELD Authentic helmet. A Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback, Unitas was on three NFL teams: Pittsburgh Steelers - off-season practice squad (1955), Baltimore Colts (1956-72), San Diego Chargers (1973). The 3-time NFL MVP led Baltimore to four titles: three NFL Championships and one title after the NFL/AFL merger - Super Bowl V. In his pro career, "Johnny U" threw for 40,239 yards and 290 touchdowns. 

The offered signed helmet is a Riddell Pro Line Authentic helmet. Unitas signed near the top of the helmet, scripting a clearly written autograph in blue, fine marker. The helmet has an injection molded polycarbonate shell, a vinyl-coated steel facemask, VSR - 4 style padding, snap on chin strap and the same colors and logos as game equipment. The white helmet has a blue stripe down the middle and blue Colts horseshoe logos on each side. "Riddell" is just above the facemask, and "Riddell" is on each side of the chin strap. On back are size indicators: both "L" raised on the shell and a decal tag reading, "L 7 1/4 - 7 3/4." The back has a "use" warning sticker and a Riddell logo. The inside of the shell has two additional warning decals and an inspection sticker. The offering weighs approx. 61.5 ounces. The helmet comes with a PSA/DNA COA for the signature (Cert. Number AN83011) and that same Cert. Number appears on a PSA sticker affixed to the helmet. The helmet is in EXCELLENT condition. Authentic Helmet.
