Displayed is a 1960 World Series Game 7 ticket stub, from the Oct. 13th game between the home team Pittsburgh Pirates and the visiting New York Yankees, that is signed by the game's heroes for the Pirates: Bill Mazeroski and Harvey Haddix. This epic Game 7 was viewed by 36,683 at Forbes Field. Going onto the 9th inning, the Pirates held a 9-7 lead. Bob Friend, working in relief for Pittsburgh, gave up two singles to the Yankees to start the top of the 9th inning. Harvey Haddix relieved Friend, and after an out, gave up two more hits and two runs, blowing the save, and the game went to the bottom of the 9th inning tied at nine runs. Ralph Terry was on in relief for the Yankees and, on a 1-0 count, Hall of Fame second baseman Bill Mazeroski drove Terry's next pitch over the left field wall at Forbes Field, with his walk-off home run giving the World Series to the Pirates and the victory to Haddix.

The offered ticket stub measures approx. 2.25x4.25". It reads, in part, "1960 WORLD SERIES NATIONAL LEAGUE vs. AMERICAN LEAGUE/FORBES FIELD/GAME 7/ENTER AT GATE 10/FIRST FLOOR RESERVED/$7.70/RAIN CHECK." The ticket is signed and inscribed by Haddix, and signed by Mazeroski, both in blue ballpoint ink. In addition to his signature, Haddix inscribed, "To JOEY (?) HARFORD." The offering comes with a PSA/DNA Certification "STUB Good 2/AUTO 9."
