Striking black, white and gold Pittsburgh Penguins road uniform worn by team captain Mario Lemieux at the during the 1996-97 NHL season. Mario’s surname crosses the back shoulders above the historic double-sixes. The captain’s “C” adorns the left breast and Lemieux has added a superb signature on the back numbers. Starter knit in size 56R with the added “66 C” in marker on the collar tag, a trademark of the Pens training staff. Although the shirt exhibits light game use, there is no doubt that it was worn by one of the hockey’s greatest stars. Jersey was donated by the Penguins and the Certificate of Authenticity comes from the Dapper Dan Charity Auction held in Pittsburgh on Apr. 5, 1997.
