Displayed is a signed 2001 check from Reggie White, a Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end. Reggie, also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, played college football at the University of Tennessee and played his first pro football with the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (1984-85). White then played 15 seasons in the NFL: Philadelphia Eagles (1985-92), Green Bay Packers (1993-98), Carolina Panthers (2000). In his NFL career, Reggie was a 13-time Pro Bowl selection, 2-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Super Bowl XXXI Champion, and a member of the NFL 100th Anniversary Team. He had NFL totals of 1,111 tackles, 198 sacks, 33 forced fumbles, 20 recovered fumbles, and three interceptions. During his career, he also became an ordained evangelical minister. White's defensive prowess and his evangelical studies earned him the nickname of the "Minister of Defense." He passed away in 2004.
