Displayed is a "Stickball" signed print of creative images Dale Murphy and Dwight Gooden playing stickball. Dale Murphy played 18 Major League seasons, most notably as primarily an outfielder for the Atlanta Braves (1976-90). The 7-time All-Star was a 2-time NL MVP who batted a career .265 with 398 home runs. Dwight Gooden was a right-handed starting pitcher for five teams from 1984-94 & 1996-2000, most memorably for the New York Mets (1984-94). He won the NL Cy Young Award and the NL (pitching) Triple Crown in 1985, and he was a 2-time World Champion with a career 194-112 record, with a 3.51 ERA.
The color print measures approx. 5x7". It depicts a gritty industrial area of Brooklyn, in New York City, near the Brooklyn Bridge (in the background) and across the East River from the Borough of Manhattan. In a form of stickball known as "box ball," a strike zone has been chalked or painted on the side of a building. Gooden is pitching and Murphy is hitting, both dressed casually. Both Murphy and Gooden have signed the print in blue, fine tip marker. The back reads, "290856 Stickball - Gooden/Murphy." The offering has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA CERTIFIED "AUTHENTIC AUTO."
