Presented is a print, originally created in watercolor by Richard Elmore, of the Third Hole at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Golf Course, in Kamuela, Hawaii, a course designed by Robert Trent Jones, prestigious golf course architect. After his career began to take off, Jones began to use his "Trent" middle name to distinguish himself from a sometimes collaborator, and non-relative, golfer Robby "Bobby" Jones. A British American, Robert Trent Jones designed or redesigned over 500 golf courses in 45 states and 35 countries. His architectural firm liked to say, "The sun never sets on a Robert Trent Jones golf course."
The Third Hole at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Golf Course is right on the ocean, where a golfer must be careful not to drive his ball into the sea, which is precariously close. The Third Hole is the most famous hole on the course. Robert Trent Jones signed the print in the lower left corner, scripted a neat signature in blue ballpoint ink. The print measures 23.5x17.5", matted and framed to 22x28". The item comes with a PSA LOA for the signature. The offering is in EXCELLENT condition.
