Offered is a 1962 Willie Mays San Franscisco Giants Bobbin['] Head. Hall of Famer Mays is definitely one of the greatest players of all time, and some pundits think that his marvelous 5-tool abilities make him baseball's greatest player of all-time. Mays played from 1951-72 for the New York/San Francisco Giants and from 1972-73 for the New York Mets. The center fielder was a 24-time All-Star. He hit 660 home runs, batted a career .301, was a 2-time NL MVP, won 12 Gold Gloves, a pair of NL MVP Awards, and was a key player on the 1954 World Champions.

The bobbin' head is approx. 7.3" in height. and has a base of approx. 2.5". The bobbin head wears a San Francisco Giants cap, black - with the cap button and "SF" interlocking logo both in orange. Although the uniform is white, the jersey reads "GIANTS" in black with orange trim. The figure has black spikes and belt and orange socks. No number is on the back. The item holds a brown bat in his right hand. Across the lower, front base is "Willie Mays," appearing as "Wielie Mays [sic]." Underneath the base, imprinted is "Exclusive License Rights [illegible] Japan." Handwritten (three times) underneath the base, in black marker by an unknown hand, is "64." That "64" may indicate when the Mays bobbin' head was obtained by a previous owner. The offering is in EXCELLENT condition.
