Presented is a Mickey Mantle single-signed Rawlings Official American League Ball (Brown). Mantle, a 7-time World Champion, spent his entire 18-year MLB career with the New York Yankees. As a boy growing up in Oklahoma, Mickey was taught to switch-hit by his father. Mantle remembers, "He and my grandfather, who was left-handed, pitched to me every day after school in the back yard. I batted lefty against my dad and right-handed against my grandfather." All his practice paid off, as the Hall of Fame center fielder remains the leading all-time MLB switch-hitting home run leader, with 536.

Another thing that Mickey practiced was his handwriting. As a youth, when working in an Oklahoma mining office, Mantle would practice his signature over-and-over, signing on yellow legal pads. All that practice paid off as well, as Mantle's signature, in blue ink from a fine-tip marker, is beautifully crafted, in flowing, big and bold script on the sweet spot. The ball exhibits some very slight darkening, but it is in overall EXCELLENT condition. The offering comes with a PSA LOA for the signature.
