Displayed is a circa 1992 Chris Pronger Peterborough Petes signed, game worn maroon jersey that the Hall of Famer used during either in 1991-92 and/or 1992-93. Pronger, a 6'6" defenseman, played the aforementioned two seasons with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League. In '91-92, he played 63 games, scoring 17 goals and adding 45 assists, for 62 points. In '92-93, Pronger played 61 games for the Petes, notching 15 goals and having 62 assists, for 77 points. He was a 2-time Gold Medal winner for Canada's Olympic Hockey Team. In the NHL, Pronger played from 1993-95 with the Hartford Whalers, and then with his main team, the St. Louis Blues, from 1995-96 through 2003-04. In 1999-2000, he won the Hart memorial Trophy as the NHL's MVP, when he scored 14 goals and he won a Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007. Pronger also played in the NHL for the Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, and Philadelphia Flyers. Pronger's NHL lifetime totals included 1,167 games with 157 goals and 541 assists for 698 points. Pronger, also a tough guy at 6'6" and 220 lbs., racked up a career 1,590 penalty minutes. In the neck is a Maska manufacturer's tag showing "100% polyester." There is faint evidence of a patch being removed from the front. Across the chest is "Petes" in sewn-on white letters. Each sleeve has "6" in a sewn-on maroon number. On back is "6" in a sewn-on white numeral. On the lower, rear tail: A sewn-on "OHL" white patch, with a sewn-on OHL logo; a sewn-on white "CCM" manufacturer's patch, in separate letters. Inside the jersey are two fight straps, front and rear. Pronger signed the jersey on the top of the right shoulder, scripting a bold signature in black marker. The game worn jersey exhibits great wear: slash marks, a few minuscule holes on the left front, paint transfers, loose threads, and blood stains. In 2017, as a part of the NHL's 100th Anniversary, Pronger was named as one of the top 100 players in the NHL's first one hundred years.
