Bernie Williams is now a musician with a successful career and a Latin Grammy nominated 2009 album, Movin' Forward, but instead of swinging a jazz guitar, Williams used to swing a mean bat as the New York Yankees' center fielder on four World Championship teams. Displayed is a 1999 Bernie Williams New York Yankees game used bat, with a PSA bat grade of GU 10, from the Bronx Bombers' '99 World Championship year. Williams, a 5-time All-Star, played his entire MLB career with the New York Yankees (1991-2006). He had a lifetime batting average of .297 with 2,336 hits and 287 home runs. A fine fielder in the Yankees' center field tradition, Williams was a 4-time Gold Glove winner. Williams batted .342 in '99, with 25 home runs and 115 RBIs, and the Yanks swept the Atlanta Braves in the World Series. The offered bat is a Rawlings professional model number DW20, with a length of 34.5" and a weight of 33.3 ounces. The ash bat has a black finish. The bat is uncracked, and it shows outstanding use. Numerous ball marks are on all parts of the bat, with blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs, and ball marks are hammered onto the barrel. Batter's box paint is visible on the back barrel. A light coat of pine tar is on the upper handle. Stamped onto the barrel: "BIG STICK," "BERNIE WILLIAMS," and "YANKEES." The model number (DW20), the order number (212) and the year (99) are stamped into the knob. The bat has a PSA sticker: 1B33696. The bat comes with a PSA/DNA Letter of Grading and Authenticity, with a PSA/DNA Certification: 1B33696 and a PSA/DNA bat grade: PSA GU 10.
