Hall of Fame right fielder Ichiro Suzuki played outstanding baseball for nine seasons in Nippon Professional Baseball and followed that up with 19 seasons of superb play in Major League Baseball. Ichiro had a spectacular rookie season in 2001. He batted .350 with 56 steals and won both the AL Rookie of the Year Award and the AL MVP. Presented is a great assemblage of Ichiro memorabilia with five (5) items that add up to a terrific, small Ichiro collection that packs a major wallop: 1) A 2001 Seattle Mariners All-Stars multi-signed jersey with nine (9) signatures. The front has a sewn-on Seattle Mariners logo high on the right chest, and across the mid-chest is "AMERICAN" in sewn-on white letters with red and navy-blue trim. Signing on the letters of "AMERICAN" using black ink from a marker or fine-tip marker: Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez, Freddy Garcia, Bret Boone, John Olerud, Ichiro Suzuki, Lou Piniella (mgr.), Kazuhiro Sasaki, Mike Cameron, Jeff Nelson. The green mesh jersey has a Majestic Athletic/MLB Authentic tag in the back collar. Underneath the above-mentioned manufacturer's tag is a tag showing "100% polyester" and indicating the size as "L." Six green buttons run down the front. The right sleeve has a Majestic manufacturer's patch. On the left outside tail is a sewn-on Authentic MLB/Majestic Athletic manufacturer's tag. The autographed jersey is in EXCELLENT condition. This signed jersey was purchased at a charity auction through the Jamie Moyer Foundation. Moyer is an ex-Mariner and an Ichiro teammate. 2) A Rawlings Official Major League Baseball (Selig) signed by Ichiro on the sweet spot. The 7/10 autograph is in blue ink from a ballpoint pen. The ball is in EXCELLENT condition, and it comes with a PSA/DNA COA (Cert. Number: AB51727) for the signature. The ball comes with a PSA/DNA sticker. 3) The 2001 All-Star Game Official Program. It measures 8.25x10.9". The program has 216 pages and it includes a stunning, color image of Ichiro on the cover. 4) An 8x10", color photo of the nine Seattle Mariners selected for the 2001 All-Star Game. 5) Two tickets to the 2001 All-Star Game. The tickets each measure 3x9" and they read, in part, "TUESDAY JULY 10 - SAFECO FIELD SEATTLE 5:00PM/ALL*GAME/2001/SEATTLE/OUTFIELD/SECTION NA103/Row 25/Seat(s) 9 &10/$110.00/This is a commemorative frameable ticket strip. Overall, the offering makes a wonderful Ichiro and Seattle Mariners remembrance.
