"How does it feel?... To be on your own?... Like a complete unknown? Like a rolling stone?" sang Bob Dylan in his esteemed, 1965 counterculture hit "Like a Rolling Stone." Presented is a circa 1970s Bob Dylan original photograph, issuer unknown, that features of the most influential songwriter/singers in history. Dylan, born in 1941 in Minnesota, moved to New York City when he was 19 to pursue his music career. Often performing on acoustic guitar in the Greenwich Village area of New York, Dylan had early hits such as "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963) and "The Times They Are a Changin'"(1964). His idols were Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, and Dylan (born as Robert Zimmerman) became a champion of the civil rights and antiwar movements, but his new use of electric guitars in the mid-1960s alienated many of his folk music fans. Dylan has been performing, often with large breaks, for over 60 years and he has made numerous comebacks. He has sold an estimated 125 million recordings, won an Academy Award, received ten Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and a Nobel Prize for Literature (for his lyrics). Dylan has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The recently-released popular film, A Complete Unknown, chronicles Dylan's early career and stars Timothee Chalamet as Dylan, Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, and Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, and is already starting to gather award honors and nominations. The offered 8x10" black & white photo exhibits emulsion cracking across the photo. The offering comes with a PSA/DNA LOA that certifies the photo as "TYPE I AUTHENTIC" (Photo Cert. 1P18283).
