This collection features eight of the twelve Dixie Lid sport premiums issued in the years 1937 and 1938, including six of the eight baseball players in the two sets. These large-format (8x10") premiums are rare today due to their fragile nature and method of distribution. Each of the two six-card sets issued in 1937 and 1938 featured four baseball players. The two baseball players missing for completion in this collection are both from 1937: Carl Hubbell and Gabby Hartnett. The two sports figures missing from the 1938 set are Nagurski (football), and Baugh (football). The collection consists of the following:

1937: Ducky Medwick, Carl Hubbell, Georgia Coleman, and Bill Tilden.

1938: Jimmy Foxx, Bob Feller, Carl Hubbell, and Wally Moses. 

All of the premiums except for the Tilden have multiple pinholes and therefore the technical grade of each is PR. The Tilden grades at VG.
