Easton Vladimir Guerrero pro-model ("Pro Stix 243") bat used by Guerrero during the 2000 Home Run Derby and possibly BP for the All Star Game. Lelands has photo-matched the bat to one used by Guerrero during the Home Run Derby. (The photo-match for this item can be accessed at Getty Images under the following number: 725767.) Its use at the Derby and potentially batting practice is also confirmed by PSA in its accompanying LOA.
The bat, which is not cracked, measures 34 inches in length and weighs 32.9 ounces. Excellent use is displayed throughout its entire length, including several ball marks and stitch impressions on the front and left barrel, including red-ink transfers, and pine tar on the handle. Guerrero's uniform number ("27") and the bat's model number ("243") are written on the knob in black marker. Guerrero has signed the bat in gold paint pen (grading 3/10) on the barrel, below which he has added his uniform number "27."
As noted by PSA in its LOA, the red-ink transfers are telling, because baseballs at the 2000 All-Star Game and Home Run Derby were imprinted with red ink. Photos and video confirm that Guerrero used an Easton "Pro Stix 243" model bat during the Home Run Derby, but not during the All-Star Game. Full LOA from PSA (for the bat only).
