Large signature collection featuring only those individuals who played with or managed the Chicago White Sox between the years 1903 and 2003. A total of 212 different signatures are represented here, plus ten duplicates, for a total of 222 signatures, including eight different Hall of Famers. What makes this collection unique is that in addition to amassing the signatures of many star players, the original owner also sought out the signatures of many players who appeared in only one or several games with the team.

The majority of the signatures are on index cards, but also included are cuts, baseball cards (mainly modern issues or reprints), photos, magazine pages, and several miscellaneous items (all are flats measuring no more than 9x11"). The signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, average 8/10 and the items are in Excellent condition overall. Several are personalized. This grouping is part of a much larger autograph collection, the entirety of which is being offered in this auction. The collection was amassed over several decades mainly during the 1960s through the 1990s, with the autographs housed in albums, grouped by teams. The albums are more like scrapbooks in that each signature is paired with a biography sheet of the player, making for a unique historical timeline for each team. Both the Minnie Minoso and George Rohe signatures have been encapsulated by PSA, with the signatures certified as "Authentic." Given the number of signed items in this lot, one must allow for the possibility of clubhouse/secretarial signatures in the collection.

Hall of Famers: Minoso (Exhibit card), Schalk (index card), Faber (cut), Appling (two examples: Exhibit card and cut), Fox (cut), Aparicio (8x10" photo), Wilhelm (8x10" photo), and Kaat (cut).

Notables: Nick Altrock, George Rohe (batting star of the 1906 World Series), Fred Parent, Lena Blackburne, Dutch Zwilling, Polly McLarry, Albert "Reb" Russell, Harry Leibold, Clarence "Pants" Rowland, Dave Danforth, Charlie Robertson (perfect game pitcher), Bib Falk, Ernie Cox (one game), Hollis "Sloppy" Thurston, Willie Kamm, Clyde "Buck" Crouse, Webb Schultz (one game), Bob Lawrence (one inning), Bill Cissell, Smead Jolley, Jackie Hayes, Milt Gaston, Bernie Uhalt (two examples), Vern Kennedy, Monte Stratton, Zeke Bonura, Jimmie Dykes, Bill Dietrich, Thornton Lee, Joe Kuhel, Skeeter Webb, Dave Philley, Hal Trosky, Ed Lopat, Randy Gumpert, George Gick (two examples), Harry Boyles (two examples), Eddie Malone (two examples), Billy Pierce, Gus Zernial, Hank Majeski, Bob Kuzava, Bill Higdon (two examples), Jack Onslow, John "Red" Corriden, Chico Carrasquel (three examples), Gus Niarhos, Phil Masi (two examples), Sherm Lollar, Virgil Trucks, Ferris Fain, Phil Cavaretta, Marty Marion, Johnny Groh, Dick Donovan, Turk Lown, Ray Boone, Don Mueller, and Gary Peters.
