Presented is a circa 1912 original 5.8x7.75" black & white original photograph of the Titanic Exercise Room. The RMS Titanic was a British Cunard Lines cruise ship that sank on its maiden voyage, in the early morning hours of April 15, 1912. The ship had left Southampton, England, on April 10th, headed for New York City after a stop in Ireland. Composed of 16 watertight sections, the ship was thought to be able to stay afloat even if four of the sections filled with water. The ship struck an iceberg and at least five of the sections were sliced open, leading to an inevitable sinking. An assortment of errors led to a "perfect storm" of actions which resulted in approx. 1,500 deaths out of the approx. 2,224 passengers and crew. The offered photo depicts a young woman on an exercise bicycle in the Titanic's Exercise Room. The photo shows some darkening, to be expected after more than 112 years. The top, viewer's left portion of the photo, and small portions of the viewer's bottom left and bottom right corners are also missing. The back of the photograph shows "B1295/09243" and "Titanic" written in pencil by an unknown hand. The back also has two Brown Brothers photographer's stamps. The photo has been encapsulated and PSA Certified as "TYPE I AUTHENTIC."
