A Detroit Tigers coaching jersey worn by Johnny Sain during the 1988 season. The front tail tag shows that the white number 53 jersey was made by Wilson and is a size 46. Additional tagging reads "88-1" and "6." The jersey shows nice signs of wear with loose threads and some light staining. Sain was a star pitcher throughout the 1940s and 1950s before becoming a pitching coach. He would win 6 World Series titles as a player and coach including 1968 with the Tigers. Sain passed away in 2006 at the age of 89.
