Large collection of 211 original baseball film negatives culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. All the images appear to date from the early 1950s, with most of the field-action scenes having been taken in one of the three New York ballparks: Yankee Stadium, Ebbets Field, or the Polo Grounds. Approximately ninety percent of the images capture game action, while the remainder picture either locker room or dugout scenes. The two sizes represented here are 5x7" (175) and 4x5" (36). (All the locker-room images measure 4x5".) Condition averages Excellent and prints could be made from all if so desired. This is an outstanding collection of original film negatives dating from the "Golden Age" of New York City baseball. Please note: the positive images seen on our website are for illustrative purposes only and do not accompany the negatives; only the negatives are offered in this lot.
