The ball is in rough condition as most of the laces are missing, there are cracks on the surface, and some leather loss as well. The following text is painted on the ball in capital letters: "Pittsburg Steelers National Professional Football League 1941." The 1941 season was the Steelers' 9th season in the National Football League, and it was just their second season being called the "Steelers" as the team was previously known as the "Pirates." This football is a rare relic from the early days of one of the NFL's most successful franchises.
