A National League baseball (Heydler), signed and heavily inscribed by Hall of Fame shortstop Rabbit Maranville. Maranville dated the ball September 17th, 1931, and listed the teams he played for, "Boston Sept 19th - 1912 [MLB Debut]-20, Pittsburgh 1921-24, Chicago 1925, Brooklyn 1926, St. Louis 1927-28, Boston 1929-30-31." In addition to signing the ball, he also added, "Sept. 10th 1931 20 Years in the Bigs." The ball is in very good condition and the signature rates as a 6.5/10. The lot includes a Letter of Authenticity from JSA. This is an incredibly rare piece of memorabilia from a player who passed away in 1954. Maranville was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame the same year.
