Official National League (Giles)/Western League (Hobbs) signed baseball by Hall of Fame outfielder/manager Fred Clarke on the side panel. Clarke's signature has been scripted in black ink and grades a 6.5/10. Clarke was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1945 and died in 1960. As a result, Clarke singles remain scarce and have always been prized by collectors. O'Neal M. Hobbs was president of the Western League from 1956 to 1958, which means that Clarke signed this ball during the last few years of his life.
