"Henry was the fastest and most aggressive big man I ever saw," said none other than renowned legendary football coach Pop Warner of Henry. Offered is a 1940s Wilbur "Fats" Henry cut signature. Henry was primarily a tackle, both in college and in professional football. He was 5'11", and weighed 245 pounds, and he was considered a big man in his era. Henry played five seasons for Washington & Jefferson College, 1915-19, but because he was in the Army training at Washington & Jefferson College in 1918, the '18 season did not count against his four seasons of eligibility. Henry was a consensus All-American in both 1918 and 1919.

Henry played pro football in the league that became the NFL and then in the NFL itself: Canton Bulldogs (1920-23 & 1925-28), New York Giants (1927), Pottsville Maroons (1927-28). He helped Canton to consecutive NFL Championships in 1922-23. In addition to playing both offensive and defensive tackle, Henry was an outstanding field goal kicker and punter. In 1923, he set an NFL record with a 94-yard punt, a record which stood until 1969. He became the Washington and Jefferson athletic director from 1932-52, and he also coached the school's football team in 1942 and '45. He passed away in 1952. He is a charter member of both the College Football Hall of Fame and the Prof Football Hall of Fame.

The Henry cut signature is written on what appears to be a 0.75x3.2" piece of a bank check. Henry signed a bold signature in blue ink. The cut signature has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA Certified as "AUTHENTIC AUTO." The cut signature is in EXCELLENT condition.
