Offered are three original 1974-75 photographs of Denver Nuggets small forward Jan van Breda Kolff from the first season of the Denver Nuggets. The team was in the American Basketball Association and had played in the ABA from its initial season, 1967-68, though 1973-74, as the Denver Rockets before changing their nickname to the Nuggets. The three photographs, each measuring 4x5", are all black & white action photos that show van Breda Kolff shooting. Jan van Breda Kolff is the son of noted college and pro coach Butch van Breda Kolff, who coached the Los Angeles Lakers and a number of college teams, including Princeton University. Jan van Breda Kolff, 6'7", played for Denver, the Kentucky Colonels and the Virginia Squires in the ABA, and he played in the NBA from 1976-83 with the New York/New Jersey Nets. In his rookie season when the offered photos were taken, Jan averaged 5.8 PPG and 4.3 TRB. For his combined ABA & NBA career, he averaged 6.2PPG and 4.3 TRB. Van Breda Kolff signed each photo, in the top margin, in blue marker. The photos are in EXCELLENT condition.
