Presented is a Lawrence Taylor inscribed and signed mini-helmet on which the Pro Football Hall of Fame outside linebacker has inscribed an NSFW (Not Safe For Work) message. Taylor played 13 NFL seasons, all with the New York Football Giants. He was 1981 NFL Rookie of the Year, and he was a 3-time AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The 10-time Pro Bowler was the 1986 NFL MVP, and from 1984 through 1990, he registered double digit sacks each season. He led the NFL in sacks in 1986 with 20.5. He had 132.5 lifetime sacks. Known as "L.T," he was also a 2-time Super Bowl Champion. Many experts consider Taylor, with his unique blend of power, speed, and intensity, as the best defensive player of all time. Great NFL coach and broadcaster John Madden once commented on how much Taylor changed pro football: "L.T. changed the way defense is played, the way pass rushing is played, the way linebackers play, and the way offenses block linebackers." Taylor became involved in self-admitted drug abuse in his career, and as a result suffered many setbacks and legal problems. The offered Riddell New York Giants mini-helmet measures approx. 4.5" high, and it has a length of about 6". The red, white and blue plastic helmet reads, "GIANTS" on each side. Using a white, fine tip marker, Lawrence signed and inscribed the top side of one side of the helmet. In addition to his signature (as L Taylor), Lawrence inscribed, "I was a bad Mother F@#$%&." - except Taylor wrote out the actual salacious term on the helmet. The helmet comes in its original plastic case. The offering also comes with JSA LOA (Cert. #WP964663), and the mini-helmet also has the same Cert. Number on a JSA sticker.
