An Official Major League baseball (MacPhail) signed by New York Yankees catcher Elston Howard. The ball, which features some aging, has been signed by Howard in black ink on a side panel. According to PSA, there are indications of signature removals throughout the ball. A 12-time All-Star and 6-time World Series Champion, Howard joined the Yankees in 1955 becoming the first African American player in the franchise's history. The 1963 American League MVP, Howard would become a coach after his playing career. He passed away at the age of 51 in 1980. Full LOA from PSA.
